Hollywood Side-swept Curl

We see it in old Hollywood movies and Taylor Swift loves bringing it back to life at major celebrity events. That’s right, the classic side-swept curl. It looks both simple and elegant and is the perfect understated look for weddings and special occasions.

 

Step 1: Prep your hair.
Condition and wash your hair with TRESemmé Beauty-Full Volume shampoo and conditioner. It’s a reverse system range, so you condition your hair first, then your wash it. This gives your hair that soft, silky feeling without weighing it down. Then you can apply a pea-sized amount of the Beauty-Full Volume Hair Maximiser, to take away any frizz. Next, apply the Beauty-Full Volume Mousse, mostly to the lengths of your hair. Now you can blow dry your hair.

 

Step 2: Curl your hair.
Divide your hair into 2 sections from just above your ears. Secure the top area and further divide the bottom section into four sections, securing each section.

Then, start curling by taking a section in the back and wrapping it around a curling wand. Curl it away from your face, hold it for 10-20 seconds and release. Do this for the rest of your hair until you reach the front of your hair. Remember to always curl away from your face.

 

Step 3: Nearly there.
Curl the final lock of hair above your forehead up and away from your face and hold it as close as possible to the hairline. Hold for a few seconds, then release. Secure this last curl with a bobby pin while you pull all your hair to one side and secure [with bobby pins]. Release the curl above your forehead.

 

Step 4: The Masterpiece.
