THE 70'S WAVES AS SEEN AT MARA HOFFMAN FW16

 

70’s waves got a modern makeover for Mara Hoffman's FW16 show at New York Fashion Week. TRESemmé lead stylist Tyler Laswell created soft, voluminous 70’s waves, ensuring models worked the runway wearing touchable retro locks without any hint of old-school stiffness.

This glamorous collection, inspired by 70's icons, had all the hallmarks of the decade – including psychedelic-style prints in browns and oranges, crushed velvet, voluminous pant suits and daring deep V-necklines.

Such a strong, standout collection called for a strong model look and a hairstyle that could hold its own. Big, statement waves were the perfect choice, and 70’s style floppy hats and bright eye make-up completed a head-turning look on the catwalk.

Backstage, Tyler Laswell showed TRESemmé Style Setters reporter Louise Roe how this fall 2016 hair trend can work on the street, creating touchable volume and day-to-night waves you can wear anywhere. You’ll only need a hair dryer, curling iron and fingers to achieve this look. Here’s how:
