So Creatures Of Comfort The Bohemian Braid AW17

There’s glamping and there’s Creatures of Comfort Creative Director Jade Lai’s luxe take on what it means for a girl to “rough it” in the wilderness. For her AW17 show, Lai’s chic camp style came through in this loose, lived-in boho braid. We were feeling all the urban jungle realness.

For a night under the stars or just another glamp-on-the-go through TriBeCa, this simply-styled boho braid takes a typical braid and flourishes it with a whole new level of naturally textured, undone perfection.

STEP 1:

Wash hair with TRESemmé Platinum Strength shampoo and conditioner to protect hair against breakage. Then create a centre part and apply TRESemmé Extra Control Mousse, from root to tip, before working throughout using your fingers.

Take sections of hair into your hands and fold them up, three inches at a time, until it hits your scalp. Blow dry each section using hot air to lock in the style, then cold air to seal it.
STEP 2:

Texture is everything. Define your textured tresses by using a flat iron to create vintage ‘S’ wave—simply push and pull one inch segments of hair in a clamped flat iron from root to tip—throughout the head.
STEP 3:

Separate the front piece of hair on each side of the part and gather the remaining section to create a loose braid leaving the front pieces out for a slept-in look. Secure the braid with bobby pins leaving out 1-3 inches at the end for a laid-back look.

Complete the look by spraying TRESemmé Extra Hold Hairspray all over to keep your chic boho braid in place.
