The Misha Autumn/Winter 2016
The Misha is a style inspired and worn by designer Misha Nonoo herself, as well as the models who showcased the Misha Nonoo AW16 collection (via Snapchat instead of the runway, FYI). Described by TRESemmé New York Fashion Week Ambassador Chris Naselli as “naturally Misha,” and “something effortless with lots of body and movement,” this subtle wave is fresh, playful and perfect for the busy modern woman.
The Misha Nonoo label is all about creating solution clothing that will work from 9 am till 9 pm, taking the wearer from day to play effortlessly – and The Misha hairstyle is a further extension of that easy-to-wear ethos. Models wore their natural shoulder-length waves with slouchy suits, preppy collared dresses, and stripes, while Misha herself wears her waves for running around as an always-on-the-go fashion designer.
Texture is a key element of The Misha, so the TRESemmé team used a flat iron to create S-bend kinks along the hair shaft. The result is a hint of a wave that looks fresh, sporty and preppy, all in one – the perfect hairstyle to complement a collection that mixes a sports luxe vibe with a young take on tailoring. AKA: clothes and tresses that will literally take you anywhere.
The Misha is also versatile enough to work on any hair length. Misha Nonoo wears her waves in a bob, while her models sported longer, just-past-shoulder-length locks. We also spied it on the street on longer and shorter hairstyles, proving its wearability. We loved it worn long over a colour pop coat for a look that wouldn't seem out of place in Misha’s colourful, playful collection.
Whether you’ve got long locks or a chin-skimming bob, here’s how to create The Misha on any hair length.
