Creating the perfect beachy waves starts in the shower with our very own wavy hair products. Once you’re done in the shower, gently blot hair dry with a towel and then spray TRESemmé One Step 5 in 1 Wave Spray evenly on damp hair. Focus on the roots, working the product in as you apply. For all options, start here: 

Using a large round brush, blow dry hair in sections while lifting from the root to create extra lift and body with shine. 

OPTION 1: STYLING WAND:

Clip up hair so you can create those signature waves one section at a time. Take a styling wand and wrap 1-inch sections of hair around the barrel leaving the ends free. Make sure to vary the direction you start each wrap, forward and backward, to create a less uniform, more freestyle look.

Run fingers through hair to add texture.

OPTION 2: CURLING IRON

Section your hair in half from ear to ear, clipping the top layer up and out of the way while you work on the bottom half.

Hold your curling iron upright and vertical, with the clamp facing forward. Gather a section of hair of about 1-2 inches, and clamp in place. Leave about an inch and a half of hair at the ends out of the clamp for more natural-looking beach waves.

Begin twisting the hair around the iron, away from your face, until the iron reaches the crown of your head. Hold in place for 3-4 seconds before opening the clamp and pulling the curling iron straight down to release.

Repeat the process all around the under section of hair, alternating directions, before releasing the top layer from the clip and working fingers throughout hair.

OPTION 3: FLAT IRON

Take hair by sections and apply the heat of the flat iron in a zig-zag motion. Apply in one direction, then hold a finger to where you created the last wave and move down the hair, applying the heat in the opposite direction with a flick of the wrist.

Allow it to cool fully, and then rough it up gently to create some more texture.
